Electropolis-Net

Electropolis brings together four musicians from diverse backgrounds to create a sound that is spontaneous, adventurous, and organic. Ultimately, you get to decide what Electropolis is: Not quite jazz. Not really groove. It's not truly rock or punk, or funk. Ambient or trip-hop? Sometimes. Experimental or Skronk Improv? Again, sometimes.

Electropolis is true democracy in action, improvising new ideas as equal partners; eschewing virtuosity for group ego. Featuring Michael Ferrier on electric tenor sax, Michael O'Brien on electric bass, Steve Roehm on percussion, and Kelly Rossum on electric trumpet, Electropolis began playing together in 2000. They immediately sensed a special musical communication, and have since forged a musical path to the stratospheres of jazz and experimental rock. Each show show ranges from fierce to sublime--from groovin' to out. And each show is unique, with many of the tunes conjured on the spot. For this reason, Electropolis has found a vibrant and diverse audience that is ready to strike off into the unknown with them.
